Sewing Class Booking Terms and Conditions
- Classes are small and must be booked in advance. Payment will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
- Due to the short duration, specialist nature and small class sizes, payments are non-refundable unless notice is given 2 weeks before the class you wish to cancel. You do, however, have the option to cancel and reschedule classes via the online booking system up to 24 hours in advance. I make every effort to tailor the classes specifically to your requirements. This often requires advanced preparation and spaces resulting from cancellations can’t always be filled at short notice. Therefore, cancellations at shorter notice cannot be refunded.
- In the unlikely event that the class is cancelled you will receive as much notice as possible, and a full refund or the opportunity to transfer to an alternative date. However, Magpie Belfast cannot accept responsibility for the cost of any equipment or materials you may have purchased.
- Please respect the health and the ability of others to carry out their daily routines without the disruption of illness as far as possible. Please take every effort to minimise the spread of viruses by not attending classes when feeling unwell. If you are unwell I will be happy to reschedule your class with no charge if you contact me anytime in advance of the class start time.
- Participants are expected to bring their own materials, threads, and haberdashery items. Sewing machines, scissors and other basic sewing equipment will be provided but you also are welcome to bring your own.
- The use of scissors, needles, pins & cutting blades during these classes is carried out entirely at your own risk.
- Herbal teas, black coffee and water will be available for self-service at the studio but unfortunately I don’t have a fridge for milk. You are welcome to bring along your own milk as well as other drinks and snacks if you wish. Therefore, please advise in advance if you have any allergies or intolerances that may affect your attendance at the class or that of other people.
- Your contact details (name, email, telephone number, and emergency contact) are required so that I can contact you to confirm class details, including the cancellation of classes, and in case of emergencies. Your contact information is collected solely by me, Shanti McAllister, in relation to services that I provide. It is never shared with other organisations. It is stored electronically on the online booking platform. You can request that your data is removed from my system at any point by contacting me directly. Such requests will be acted upon immediately.
- The studio will open until 10 minutes before the class starts. If you arrive earlier please wait as the studio may be in use. There is sufficient parking outside the building for four cars and further parking is available on the main road and side streets within easy walking distance of the studio. The car park is also used by other businesses in the same building so please don’t block anyone in. Park elsewhere if the car park is full. If you have mobility problems or need help carrying things from your car just ask.
I’m only human and, whilst I try my best I can’t be perfect! Any feedback will always be gratefully received. I will endeavour to resolve genuine problems quickly and satisfactorily if you speak to me in person at the studio, or contact me by email or telephone.
